Easter and other things

Hello, all. Happy Easter.

*Contented sigh* Wow, I don't know if it's just because these are the first two consecutive days of sun we've had in 5 months, or because it's Easter Sunday, but I feel really good right now. I just feel....refreshed, and happy. It's hard to explain. Everything around me is just reminding me of good things.

Maybe it's the birds singing outside, or the sound of airplanes and people mowing their lawns. Maybe it's because school's almost out. Perhaps because flowers are finally starting to bloom all over. Or maybe it's because I'm wearing high-heel sandals with capris. (I don't know why that makes me happy, it just reminds me of summertime!)

Whatever it is, I'm so grateful today on Easter for it all. I'm thankful for my family and my friends, and for spring and all the wonderful stuff that comes with it. Most of all, I'm grateful for my Savior and all that he's done for me. So, I hope you are all having as beautiful a day as I am, whether or not you have sun or birds or flowers or family and friends to spend it with. May we all find things to be grateful for, and in doing so, creating our own happiness.

:)

  1. I agree with all of this. Happy Easter to you too! (Darn. I was going to save that for the end.) I'm feeling happy and refreshed too, and I don't know why. Maybe it's also because it's Easter Sunday. I'm grateful for everything you say, too. Maybe I feel so refreshed because of the shower I just took ... or 'cause I'm wearing pajama pants and invisible shoes, which are both awesome. I'm being reminded of good things now too. K, wipe everything I just said because I realize that I totally agree with everything in your post ... so touche. :D

    1. Thanks for the comment, Patricia! I just love that fresh feeling...it's about 7:30 in the morning at my house right now, and the sun is just coming up. I feel so good, because guess what? It's gonna be a bea-u-tiful day! *sigh* I love Spring...

  2. You my uber talented neice, are amazing. I love to read the thoughts your creative mind gushes out into your blog and I could not be happier that you see the signs of Spring and are happy for them. Easter this year was emotional for me! I was a complete bawl baby (in the good sense) and just felt like you did, extremely grateful for a Saviour who konws us and loves us-unconditionally. We have been talking about the resurrection with Sofia and Ella and Sofia really has begun to understand. It is so neat to see her learn. I love you little Miss!! If you EVER want to come out and see us~ just call. There is always a room ready for you!

    1. Aww, thanks, Aunt Chairty! :) That's so excited that Sofia and Ella are starting to understand more about the gospel. And of course, I'd love to come and see you guys! Tell me when, and I'll be there! :D

  3. Oh heck yes!! I can't wait for our tulips to bloom and for the lavenders down at the park below our house to bloom and for the wind to blow their sweet scent up to my balcony!!! Oh by the way remember that weird snow that you got? Well on Friday we got like 3" of snow! Then it was all gone by the afternoon. Talk about randomness!!!
